                                                    TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1

                                                         WEEK 4 (Nov 27th - Dec 10st)

    

    The fourth week thus started as usual.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, like all others I was also busy with completing the portions for their Christmas exam, that is going to be held from December 13th.  Fortunately I could manage it and complete it on time.  I was really tensed as we were informed to complete the portions by next week.  The State Science Expo was being held at our school from Thursday to Friday.  In between I got substitution for various classes and it was the time I could forget my hectic works and mingle with those tiny one's.  I got substitution in the 5th and 6th standards.  Seeing them makes me remember of my childhood days and the time spent with my friends in school.  I engaged the classes with moral stories and games.  There were all very active and vibrant, so it brought happiness to me as well.  

    Thursday was the inauguration day of Stat Science expo, Higher officials from various government departments, students, parents and teachers form different schools of various districts had assembled in the school auditorium by 9:30am itself, A.N. Shamseer, Honourable Speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly inaugurated the function.  The formal function came to an end by 12:30pm.  The venues were arranged in 6 schools in Trivandrum, including cottonhill GHSS. The competitions held at our school included, atlas making, elocution, drawing and so on.  The students who secured first and second positions form various districts were supposed to participate in the competitions.  The expo was opened for the public, so there was a huge rush of people.  As Sunday was the valedictory function, we were asked to come by 3:00pm.  Thus the week came to an end with an insight that science is a big blessing to the humanity.
